Cryosurgery: Precision Treatment with the Medical Grade Cryopen ®
At Jill Best Aesthetics, cryosurgery is performed using the Medical-Grade Ivanmed Cryopen, a precision device designed to safely treat a variety of benign skin lesions.
Cryotherapy works by delivering a controlled jet of nitrous oxide at extremely low temperatures, which freezes and destroys the targeted tissue while minimising damage to the surrounding skin. The Cryopen allows for accurate application, making it particularly effective for the treatment of common skin concerns such as skin tags, age spots, sun spots, and certain benign lesions.
The procedure is typically quick, requires minimal preparation, and is carried out in our Healthcare Improvement Scotland HIS registered clinic in Wemyss Bay.
Following treatment, the area will heal naturally as your body replaces affected tissue with healthy skin.
Caution:
Not all lesions are suitable for Cryosurgery and Jill will ascertain this at your consultation.
If Jill feels that your lesion requires medical intervention she will advise you to attend your GP and will provide a covering letter.
